Youth Development Internship

Description of the overall mission of this organization: 
Ages of youth served: 6 weeks to six years
Name of Mentor:Nicole Buco
Hours worked: 500 hours total Monday through Wednesday I worked 7am to 3:30pm. Thursday 7am to 12pm. Friday off.
Description of your role and duties: (include administrative or hands-on or both) My role at Once Upon A Time Academy consisted of being an assistant teacher in all of the different classrooms. I was able to gain experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and prekinders. My work was very hands on because I was always with the youth in my facility. I
Description of the culture of the place (how many people in the office, dress code, communication style) My site has two floaters, one or two teachers per classroom and our director. The dress code is a t-shirt that has our logo and I wear jeans and sneakers with my outfit. Most of the communication is face to face and emails with reminders and updates.
Additional Requirements:My site was in North Providence and coming from Cranston, it took about 20 or more minutes to get there by car. Usually I would go to class after work at RIC and it was a short seven minute ride.
