Description

Tides Family Services is a nonprofit organization that is committed to providing comprehensive

support and resources to children, adolescents, and families facing various challenges. The

overall mission of Tides is to provide services and supports that allow youth to live in a

community-based setting. An "Agency Without Walls" our services are delivered in homes,

communities, schools...wherever our youth are.


Tides Family Services (TFS), in partnership with Community Care Alliance (CCA) and Child and Family

Services (CFS), is recruiting for a new multi-disciplinary program serving high-risk youth. CCA, TFS, and CFS have all adopted a systemic approach to providing trauma-informed care ensuring that all clients who encounter the agencies receive services that are sensitive to the impact of trauma.


We are immediately hiring for a grant funded Co-Occurring Clinician. 


The Co-Occurring Clinician provides individual, group, and family behavioral health services, both mental health and substance use, for children and youth who are at risk for a higher level of care or out-of-home placement.


Clinicians function as part of a multidisciplinary team and are required to collaborate with other team members as well as other agencies and individuals involved with families.


Clinicians function as the clinical lead on shared cases and provide direction regarding need and interventions for the clients and families.


Clinician is expected to take on additional responsibilities consistent with the initiative's needs and other duties as assigned in support of the Tides Family Services Mission.


Requirements

 EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or other healing arts required.
  • Driver’s license, valid vehicle registration and Insurance required. 
  • Bi-lingual candidates preferred. 
  • Employee will assume full responsibilities for the cost and efforts of maintaining any and all forms of licensure, certification, and credentialing documentation as required in their job description or cited on any action form as a qualification for hiring, job promotion, or monetary increase. Subsequently, the employee will adhere to the credentialing requirements of all insurance/funding sources for which they qualify and provide Human Resources with the initial required documentation and all renewals of these documents thereafter.

$65,000-$72,000 Based on Credentials/Experience

    • Set-up Day: Saturday, July 22
  • Staff Hours:  Monday–Thursday, 8am–4pm & Fridays, 8am-2pm
  • Camper Hours:  Monday-Thursday, 9am–3pm & Fridays 9am-1pm
  • Orientation Date:   Tuesday 7/17/24, 9am-4pm

Camper's Daily Activities include:

  • Paddle boats on the lake
  • Swimming in an in-ground pool (entire pool is only 3 feet deep)
  • Bounce house/Swings
  • Unified Sports with the amazing Special Olympics coach, Lisa McKay
  • Arts & Crafts
  • 1 Special Activity per day, i.e., Karate, Campfire with S'mores, Drumming, Yoga and more
  • Cooking
  • Pedal Go-Carts
  • And of course, many smiles, milestones, and friend connections!!

Parent Support Network of Rhode Island (HIRING!)

 The Youth Program Coordinator is responsible to provide peer-based supportive behavioral health services to youth and young adults as well as to build statewide youth leadership and facilitate the involvement of youth and young adults in Rhode Island’s system of care. This position will work under the Associate Director.

Qualifications 

· Dual Certifications: CPRS & CCHW (or currently in progress.)

· Strong knowledge of the youth behavioral health system in RI and an understanding of the gaps within.

· Ability to provide person-centered services that embrace a many-pathways-to-recovery approach.

· Willingness and ability to travel within state and accommodate occasional transportation of youth.

· Passion for mission and philosophy of Parent Support Network along with the knowledge of organization culture, identity and goals.

· Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs as well as ability to quickly learn other programs.

· Must pass a DCYF and criminal record clearance. 

· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Essential Duties 

· Provide direct behavioral health peer support services to youth and young adults. Utilize wellness/recovery action planning and person-centered tools to help recoverees create a plan of care that best fits their needs.

· Enter case notes, plan of care, and other necessary documentation in agency’s EHR system in a timely and organized manner

· Provide mentorship/coaching to youth and young adults to participate in policy boards and other advocacy opportunities

· Act as chapter coordinator for Youth MOVE Rhode Island (sponsored by PSN). Facilitate regular chapter meetings, report chapter data to national leadership, etc.

· Build relationships with schools, local youth organizations, and juvenile justice facilities to collaborate on mission and to encourage organizations and young individuals to participate in YMRI.

· Participate in local and state policy boards, coalition meetings, engagement groups, etc. as appropriate for grant and contract deliverables. Occasional evening and weekend meetings required.

· Work with PSN workforce development team to deliver and facilitate youth-centered trainings, workshops, etc.

· Providing weekly summary reports to Associate Director regarding updates to programming, data regarding youth engagement and activities, and other vital program information

Camp RYSE is a five-week summer camp that provides academic and recreational opportunities to K-9 refugee youth in Providence while fostering confidence, community, and joy. 
We are thrilled to announce that we are hiring for both Directors AND Senior Counselors!

Directors have the joy of turning vision into reality as they develop, plan, and coordinate Camp RYSE. We are seeking motivated college students to join our team and gain valuable work experience while giving back to their community--and having a blast! Director positions run with limited hours (and remote accessibility) beginning March 1st and shift to full-time in mid-June through mid-August. Directors are compensated $5,000.

Senior Counselors have the joy of managing a classroom of 10-12 refugee youth, facilitating literacy, STEM, and recreation activities to promote learning, confidence, and community. Join our team and gain valuable teaching experience while supporting the growth of students at risk of summer learning loss! Senior Counselor positions run from June 17, 2024 – August 6, 2024. Senior Counselors are compensated $3,640.
