Description of the overall mission of this organization: To provide students of color ages 13-18 from marginalized identities equitable access to international & domestic cultural exploration through travel, utilizing travel as the vehicle to discuss the importance of mental & emotional wellness, global citizenship, self-awareness, leadership, and ubuntu.

Hours worked: (number, days, times) Sessions are held Saturday afternoon for about 2.5-3 hours. Other hours were collected from trips with the students and distant work online.

Description of your role and duties: (include administrative or hands-on or both) Director of Strategic Fundraising 

-Assist in Facilitation of Educational Workshops

- Plan fundraising Events

- Execute Fundraising Events

- Create Friends of A Leadership Journey

- Keep track of all incoming Donations

- Update list of Donors

Description of the culture of the place (how many people in the office, dress code, communication style) Very close-knit and work environment is casual/ business casual. 

Additional Requirements: (travel, etc) Travel isn't necessary even though its a youth's leadership and travel program. The leadership program is located in Providence. There were also bi-weekly team calls I got to join in too.

There currently isn't an application process for a position at this internship but I suggest emailing your interest and seeing how you can support the advancement of the organization.

Other internship opportunities with this organization: This is a nonprofit in its early stages so if you have a skill that you can offer on the administrative side there is a possibility of an opportunity. You do get to work with the youth and sit in on Saturday student-led sessions
