Description of your role and duties: my role was hands on: doing homework with students, doing activities, making sure students are doing the right thing. This is a before and after school care. The program is during school calendar, and full service during school breaks and summer vacations. (A great way to get hours done). Also being able to work with multiple students a time.
Description of the culture of the place: Informal. There are a few staff members in the room helping out the students.
What three TAGS would you use to label this internship?
mentoring, afterschool, curriculum.
This is a great place to intern. I had fun with the students and created a relationship with the students and staff member. The staffs are nice and helpful.
