Description of the overall mission of this organization:
To build social service partnerships that respond creatively to the unmet needs of individuals, families and the community so that people are able to live independently, advocate for themselves, and better their own lives.
Ages of youth served: ages 12-18
Hours worked: monday- friday 12pm -10pm saturday & sunday 9am -10pm
Description of your role and duties: Trauma therapy residential counselor (job title)
- Counsels residents in identifying and resolving social and other problems.
- Compiles records of daily activities of residents
- Assigns room, assists in planning recreational activities, and supervises work and study programs.
- Escorts individuals on trips outside establishment for shopping or to obtain medical or dental services
Description of the culture of the place: residential home; a maximum of 8 girls, clinician, case manager, house manager, and 3 residential staff; dress comfortable but appropriate.
Additional Requirements: Handle With Care training (restraint trained)
