Description of the overall mission of this organization: Learning for Life, a collaboration of the College Crusade, Goodwill Industries of Rhode Island, College Visions, and Rhode Island College, is a multi-faceted community and college partnership. Learning for Life (L4L) links students to a wide range of services, supports, and opportunities that fortify them for college success and remove any challenges and obstacles that may prevent education from remaining a priority in their lives.
Ages of youth served: We serve college age students, 17+
Hours of internship: (number of hours, days, times) M-F 8:30-4:30
Description of role and duties: (include administrative or hands-on or both) Navigators are senior-level Bachelor’s students or Master’s students who are matched with L4L participants to provide weekly contact and linkages to resources. All L4L Navigators are expected to maintain a professional representation of the project’s mission to all off campus and on campus offices, as well as and most especially with, students served.
