Description of your role and duties: (include administrative or hands-on or both) Site Coordinator and Program Director. Oversee staff, children and overall safety of children. Coordinate with staff proper programming that meets the needs of the youth serviced as well as meeting the BGC mission. Provide before and after school care as well as meals, breakfast and dinner. Communicate with parents and community the programs we offer. Handle any parent or child issues or concerns.
Description of the culture of the place (how many people in the office, dress code, communication style) Staff is very fun but professional. There are 12 general staff, 3 directors, and a CEO. Dress code is laid back, but must work BGC issued shirt. Normal communication is through face to face, but also through staff meetings and letters left in mailboxes.
Additional Requirements: (travel, etc) If you obtain your chauffeur license you may be asked to drive the vans. Dropping off and picking up youth from school as well as going on occasional field trips.
