Description of the overall mission of this organization: PSU overall mission is to build student power, leadership skills, and giving students a fair chance to have a say in the education system.

Description of your role and duties: As an intern, my duties were to work with the partnership and base building coordinators to execute projects we have on hand while also working with my mentor. My role was mainly based on the alumni outreach and engagement plan, and I contacted and met with community partner agencies to make partnerships with organizations that could help serve the needs of the youth and organization. I worked on a variety of tasks including office data and organizing support, data research and data entry. My role also consisted of filing and sorting financial data and making sure the office was clean. Overall, my job was strictly administrative work related.
Description of the culture of the place: The office consists of two adult staff, 8 youth leaders, and 1 intern (me). The dress code was not restricted, and people were free to express themselves while also being mindful of others' feelings.
Special notes on process of getting this internship: The process of getting this internship was very quick. After Rachael made the connection, I received an email informing me about interview few days later.
