Description of your role and duties: (include administrative or hands-on or both) Both admin and hands-on, I was able to see the real behind the scenes of being at a site and how to work with teachers and community partners, and how to oversee a budget. I also ran a program one hour a week that was centered around a subject of my choice.
Description of the culture of the place (how many people in the office, dress code, communication style) 3 in the office total, my mentor who is the site coordinator, an Americorps vista and myself. There was a very relaxed dress code (jeans and a nice top). Communication was comfortable and free flowing between all three of us.

Other internship opportunities with this organization: I was able to visit and take a look at the work over at New Urban Arts as well.
