Description of your role and duties: My responsibilities and duties were to find one service learning opportunity for the youth inside of the program each month. I also planned a theme and activities for each community event on the last Friday of every month, and put my input into the other workshops that the rest of the team was working on. I worked with a budget, and stayed organized and consistent. I was also in the space when the youth were there to connect with them and help with facilitating programming.
Description of the culture of the place:
There are usually at least two people in the office at all times. The office has 4 staff members that work there. It is a very laid back atmosphere and the staff work as one unit like a family. There is a lot of freedom for creativity and work, it is not a highly structured atmosphere. The dress code is to dress appropriately, but laid back casual dress, and when you go to events more business casual.
Additional Requirements: Travel to buy materials for your events, and for events that the youth do.
