Description of the overall mission of this organization: "The Center for Justice, Peace, and Global Citizenship drives critical reflection and engagement on all matters pertaining to diversity, inclusion, justice, multiculturalism, and global citizenship at Lincoln. The Center empowers the Lincoln School community to make positive and sustainable change, to ask the "difficult questions", to address implicit and explicit bias, and to do so with respect, regardless of ability, age, ethnicity, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. The Center's interconnected web of student clubs and program days that address topics like racial justice, privilege, feminism, and intersectionality, support this important work."

Description of your role and duties: (include administrative or hands-on or both) Lead with students and mentor to create lesson plans and support growth of student clubs focused on race, gender, sexuality, and environmental justice. Some administrative work like revising out of date gender policy and attending meetings.
Description of the culture of the place (how many people in the office, dress code, communication style) The students are required to follow a dress code but the teachers dress more relaxed. The center is used as a place for primarily students of color and LGBTQ+ students to relax between classes and meet with clubs so it has a more relaxed feel than a typical classroom. There are also opportunities for professional development.
