Description of the overall mission of this organization: Assisting individuals with intellectual and learning disabilities with job skills and assisting them in attain a job.

Hours worked: (number, days, times) Mon & Weds 8am-2:30pm

Description of your role and duties: (include administrative or hands-on or both)
Assisted students on RIPTA buses to get to job sites; Assisted students in creating a resume along with applying to jobs; Worked one-on-one with students on creating action plans for their IEP meetings; Assisted with technology issues; Taught individuals job essential skills such as: stocking shelves, breaking boxes down, setting dinner tables, making lunches for the homeless, hanging clothing on hangers, cleaning services.

Description of the culture of the place (how many people in the office, dress code, communication style): School environment, 17 students, 1 Main Teacher, 2 One-on One Workers, 3 Job Coaches. 2 classrooms within the Special Education Department of the School Department Building. Dress code consisted of comfortable business casual.
Additional Requirements: (travel, etc) Patience is highly required.
