Hours worked: Monday - Friday, 6:45am-9:00am & 2:30pm - 6:00pm
Description of your role and duties: Coordinating after school programming schedules and clubs, managing staff, parent communication, and conflict resolution.
Description of the culture of the place: The dress code was a Y shirt (provided), and jeans or khakis. Each week the site coordinators met and talked about what is going on at their sites and also what is happening around the organization in the future. Planning and meetings included vacation camp weeks, full day care, and staffing changes.
Additional Requirements: Travel to and from the afterschool site, additional planning outside of internship/work hours.
Special notes on the process of getting this internship: Being apart of the organization already helped a lot, but being genuine and yourself are two qualities that are highly respected.
