Hours worked: Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00- 12:30
Description of your role and duties: Event planning for accepted students day, networking fair, and pinning ceremony. Shadowed Rachael to meet with organizations in the community.
Description of the culture of the place In the office it was myself and Rachael, dress code in the office was casual but for meetings and events professional casual, our communication included meeting one on one at least once weekly to discuss previous weeks work and upcoming weeks work.
Additional Requirements: We traveled to meetings in the community regarding internships for next year and for the networking fair.
Special notes on process of getting this internship: After deciding it was best for my experience and education to leave Tides Family Services, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to learn under Rachael Clemons with direction that grew my skills to work with youth in their communities.
