Description of the overall mission of this organization: Community Action Partnership of Providence mission is to help members of the community in need by providing programs to help them reach self-sufficiency. Some of those programs are: an Adult GED course, a food pantry, light and energy assistance for those who qualify,veteran services and a youth success program that assists pregnant and parenting teens who reside in the 02905 and 02909 area.

Description of your role and duties: (include administrative or hands-on or both) As an intern for CAPP, I worked within their food pantry which if housed in the Elmwood Community Center located on 155 Niagara Street. Every Wednesday, I performed the intake process for the food pantry recipients.
Description of the culture of the place (how many people in the office, dress code, communication style) I worked within two sites. The home office located on 518 Hartford Avenue and the Elmwood Community Center located on 155 Niagara Street. CAPP's home office was more formal than the community center but there was more communication with staff. Meetings were held every other week. At the center, there was often miscommunication among staff which would lead to confusion.
